For a cultural journey, you should also visit the 13th century Byzantine chapel of Agia Anna, which functions as an ecclesiastical museum, where you can admire 16th and 19th centuries icons, holy relics, and old books. If you follow the nature trail of Profitis Elias to Konnos, you will arrive at the chapel of Agios Ioannis, which, albeit humble, has a serene and mystical atmosphere. Finally, the stone-built chapel of Agios Panteleimonas with its wonderful wooden roof has some stunning frescoes to admire in the hagiographed interior of the church. The chapel is actually built on top of two previously destroyed chapels while it is surrounded by spectacular landscape that will satisfy every eye.
