The summer is already here and what a better way to welcome it than with some new decorative touches that will add bright and bold colors to your home and, simultaneously, a smile on your face. You don’t need to spend a fortune to bring the summer into your home, just make the most of some useful and easy low-budget tips that will help you bring some of the outsides, inside.

How often do you find yourself reminiscing old holiday moments full of sunny days, magical views, and bright smiles? Instead of buying expensive artwork to decorate your walls, you should print and frame your own vacation photos. These may include idyllic sceneries, turquoise water, and breathtaking sunsets from various places you have visited and enjoyed.  In this way, you’ll be surrounded by the warmest and most happy memories and be inspired for planning your next summer vacation!

Another brilliant idea for embracing the summer spirit is to bring nature into your own home. This can be done in several ways: perhaps filling your home with house plants, small trees, or fragrant flowers. For most cost-effective solutions, you can keep your plants in their own containers and insert them in charming baskets fitted with plastic saucers. Another idea that will definitely convey a summery feeling is a garden decorative statue, such as a bird statue, to be displayed inside.

What says summer better than seashells! Find an enormous glass bowl and fill it with various different shells that you’ve collected from previous vacations or fun days at the beach. Hence, when you look at them, you’ll be reminded of the playful time you had gathering them. Alternatively, you can buy them online or at a store as this is a pretty popular and easy to find item. There’s no doubt that such an enchanting centerpiece will make you feel that you are still at the beach, carefree, breathing the sea salt air and listening to the relaxing sound of waves crashing onto the rocks.

You can even change the prevailing colour of your living room, or any other room, to a summer shade, like blue which reminds of crystal-clear waters and blue skies! For example, you can change your cushion covers to ones of various shades of blue. Another idea is to buy blue vases or other home decor items such as candles or decorative balls. You can even replace your frames with blue ones and give a breezy blue vibe to your home! For a bolder change, you can put up a wallpaper that may seem daring but, gladly, it can be removed easily when you are ready for a new change.

If you want to add an exotic touch to your house, you can select the Chinoiserie prints of your taste and bring elegance into your home. There is a wide variety of these 18th-century prints that usually depict gorgeous landscapes of China, Japan, and other Asian countries with shapes and forms of sinuous flowers, birds, and leaves.  The exquisite beauty of these depictions is precisely why they are widely used among the best contemporary interior designers today. Fortunately, you don’t need to spend a fortune on hand-painted bespoke murals as there are other less costly solutions, such as printed wallpapers and fabrics of the same chic and tasteful style.

For conveying those summer vibes to your home and feel as if you are on an island vacation every day there are lots of ideas to choose from.  Depending on each season, follow some low-budget tips that can instantly change the entire atmosphere of your home.
